YOU HAVE GREAT NEED FOR DISCERNMENT THIS YEAR
“Then said his wife unto him, dost thou still retain thine integrity? Curse God, and die. But he said unto her, thou speakest as one of the foolish women speaketh. What? Shall we receive good at the hand of God, and shall we not receive evil? In all this did not Job sin with his lips.” Job 2:9-10 KJV
If the wife of Job knew that her words would be cast in eternal stones, she would have probably chosen better words to say to her husband that day! “Are you still holding unto your integrity? Curse God and die!” … were the very first and only words that she would say; after seeing the terrible ordeals of her husband: the death of her children, the plagued body of her husband, and the sudden wipe-off of their entire wealth!
She did not know satan already chose her as a tool against her husband. One should wonder why satan would destroy everything and everyone in Job’s family, yet he spared his wife. She was hale and hearty throughout the ordeal! God restricted satan, only to not touch Job’s life …not that of the wife. Meaning, the devil spared his wife by himself, because he intended to use her against Job! The devil’s primary aim was to make Job curse God. See Job 1:11 KJV “But put forth thine hand now, and touch all that he hath, and he will curse thee to thy face.” Read also Job 2:4-5 KJV “And satan answered the LORD, and said, skin for skin, yea, all that a man hath will he give for his life. But put forth thine hand now, and touch his bone and his flesh, and he will curse thee to thy face.” Satan failed! Job refused to curse God, neither did he sin against God with his lips; even after losing everything and all his children. So, satan moved his wife to express his mind: “Are you still holding unto your integrity? Curse God and die”!!!
Dear friend, please be discerning this year. Be spiritually at alert… so that satan doesn’t use you against God, or against his servants! Be like Job in discernment. Recognize why the enemy is fighting you, or pushing you to fight against someone. Be spiritually vigilant in 2025.
