THE BLESSED BECOME A BLESSING

“And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing.” Genesis 12:2 KJV

The blessedness of the salt is in its usefulness to others. The blessings that come from God must positively affect others.

God told Abram, when you get my blessing, you will become a blessing -to others! You cannot be blessed by God, and you are the only one the blessing affects. “But, Apostle, am I blessed yet, as Abraham was blessed?” You might want to ask. The answer is, yes! Every one who has faith in Jesus Christ is connected to the blessings of Abraham: “So then they which be of faith are BLESSED with faithful Abraham.” Galatians 3:9 KJV {emphasis mine}. So, you can see that you are BLESSED!

Now, my question is, who are you blessing? Who is getting better because of you? Is anyone getting fulfilled because you helped? What are you doing with the blessings that God gave to you? Many of God’s children are self-centered. They don’t see anybody but themselves. You can even tell when you hear them pray. Don’t wait until you become super-wealthy before you bless people, do what you can now. Your action of faith with the little you have, will prove that you truly believe that you are blessed. And that you know, that you are supposed to be a blessing to others. The blessings of God affect others positively, start demonstrating it!
