  TAKE OIL WITH YOUR LAMP

“Those who were foolish took their lamps and took no oil with them.” Matthew 25:3 NKJV

The lamp is the truth, it is the light to our feet! That’s the word of God; our guide for every step we need to take on earth! But, the oil represents the Holy Spirit, the fuel for the lamp! The Power behind the Light!

The disciples already knew the Way, the Truth, and the Life; yet Jesus told them to go no where until they got the Oil! “Behold, I send the Promise of My Father upon you; but tarry in the city of Jerusalem until you are endued with power from on high.” Luke 24:49 NKJV. Without the Holy Spirit, you will be ineffective; even though you have the Light!

“”As for Me,” says the Lord, “this is My covenant with them: My Spirit who is upon you, and My words which I have put in your mouth, shall not depart from your mouth, nor from the mouth of your descendants, nor from the mouth of your descendants’ descendants,” says the Lord, “from this time and forevermore.” Isaiah 59:21 NKJV. Be wise! “but the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.” Matthew 25:4 NKJV
