REASONS YOU HAVEN’T RECEIVED ANSWERS TO CERTAIN PRAYERS

“For the Lord God is a sun and shield; The Lord will give grace and glory; NO GOOD THING WILL HE WITHHOLD FROM THOSE WHO WALK UPRIGHTLY.” -Psalms 84:11 NKJV

As a Minister of God, I sometimes wonder why answers aren’t given to everyone that prayed to God at the same time. Some get their results right there in the meeting, others later; while some don’t even get any answers at all. Apart from sin, that we all know can delay or outrightly hinder prayers from being answered, the Holy Spirit taught me the following:

(I) NOT EVERY GOOD THING IS GOOD FOR YOU: The verse above says; NO GOOD THING WILL HE WITHHOLD FROM THOSE WHO WALK UPRIGHTLY. That doesn’t mean He’d give you every good thing you point your finger to. God cares very much about your joy and your purposes towards Him. So, if what you’re asking for will give you joy and also fit into His purpose for your life; He will never withhold that good thing from you. But, if that seemingly good thing (that you’re asking for) will make you happy but harm you later in the future, or interfere with His plan for you, He will withhold that good thing from you-Because He loves you!

(II) HEARTS THAT ARE NOT READY: Some people are not ready for what they’re asking God for. Asking God to give you millions of souls, or even of money, when you are not faithful or prudent with tens, hundreds, and thousands is seen as “baby-talks” in the spirit realms. You and I know how we smile when little children ask us to buy them adult cars, we just smile right? In our hearts we say; “wait… until you grow up! The Kingdom of God doesn’t just dispense goodies. It operates by principles. “… he said to him, ‘Well done, good servant; because you were faithful in a very little, have authority over ten cities.” -Luke 19:17 NKJV. Pay keen attention to, and be diligent with the little you have, God will give you more when you ask Him.

(III) WICKED REQUESTS: You do not want to imagine the prayers that some people are praying concerning you, believe me! Someone has “prophesied” or said something negative about you, when he sees that his word hasn’t come to pass. He’s asking God to confirm his words (in the form of prayer). Of course, such prayers will never get answers from God (except of course they employ the service of satan)! “But to the wicked God says:“What right have you to declare My statutes, Or take My covenant in your mouth, You give your mouth to evil, And your tongue frames deceit. You sit and speak against your brother; You slander your own mother’s son. These things you have done, and I kept silent; You thought that I was altogether like you; But I will rebuke you, And set them in order before your eyes.“Now consider this, you who forget God, Lest I tear you in pieces, And there be none to deliver:” -Psalms 50:16‭, ‬19‭-‬22 NKJV. Check your petitions, check your motives.

(IV) DOUBT: “But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.” -James 1:6‭-‬8 NKJV. God hates unstable people! They are neither here nor there! Double-minded. Doubt is an adversary to answers from God! It is a major adversary to prayers. When you approach God for any thing, believe that He can! Doubting Him is an insult on His personality, His credibility, and on His Capacity. Kick doubts out! Have faith in God!

(V) LUSTFUL REQUESTS: “Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts.”* -James 4:3 KJV. You have a good car, yet you desire any other good car that passes by; asking God to give it to you. You want the latest electronics all the time, not so that you could perform better in your business; but just to gratify your sheer cravings for material things. Idolatry is not until you bow to a human or animal image. Whatever and whoever you value above God has become your idol! Lust doesn’t care about God or any other person, it just wants what it wants; regardless of who gets hurt! Remove lusts from your eyes and heart. Put purpose and God’s will there, and you will receive answers to your prayers!
