PROTECT YOURSELF BY LIVING RIGHT“Righteousness keepeth him that is upright in the way: but wickedness overthroweth the sinner.” Proverbs 13:6 KJV
Living right sometimes feels stupid. You may look like the only fool in the team, when you choose to do the right thing. You know how to handle those who have provoked you, but when you remember that you’re supposed to live within GOD’s word, your hands get tied. You have the perfect answers for your mockers, but the Holy Spirit won’t allow you open your mouth.
My friend, righteousness protects! Living within GOD’s instructions keeps us alive and safe from dangers. Sometimes, you could think of taking matters into your own hands, and you would bite your fingers for ever. Smart Christians submit to GOD’s will all the time. Because, that is where their safety lies. The sinners, and everyone who does whatever they like without regard for GOD’s word will get displaced. They will be overthrown.
David could hurt king Saul, but he said I won’t do it because of the anointing on his head. But king Saul attacked the Gibeonites without regard for the vow the children of Israel made with them; he lost his descendants because of that (2 Samuel 21:1-9). Jacob could steal from his dubious uncle, but he deliberately made sure his accounts were balanced. Don’t be reckless if you want to live long. Fear GOD, and live by His principles. Sinners are trespassers. They give no regard to spiritual rules. No respect for spiritual principles. Therefore, they will be overthrown. Protect yourself by living right.
