GOD, THE RIGHTEOUS JUDGE.

“For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the LORD of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch.” -Malachi 4:1 KJV

In the bid to portray a good and a very kind God, some Preachers have gone into errors! Preaching that God does not do anything harmful to anyone! Even if the people are bad. Whereas, this is certainly a flagrant lie!

They have preached that God wasn’t the one that sent the fire that destroyed those two captains and their fifties in the days of Elijah (2kings 1:2-15). They said Elijah did, not God! They have said that in the days of Moses, God was not the one that opened the ground that swallowed up Korah, Dathan and Abiram, who were buried alive with their rebellious lot. They said Moses killed them, not God (Numbers 16: 1-35)! It has also been preached that it was Peter that killed Ananias and Saphira… even though Peter clearly said they had lied to and offended the Holy Ghost (i.e God), not him. Afterwhich they collapsed and died on the spot. The erroneous teachers still believe that Peter killed them (Acts 5:1-11).

Excellently painting God as a good God on your canvas during the art of preaching does not stop Him from being a Consuming fire in reality! God is not a product that you are marketing. He is a person! And, He has emotions. He gets furious when provoked! Our study text above clearly shows that God would destroy proud, bad, and wicked people! He would wipe them and their memories out! His wrath shall consume them as stubbles are consumed by fire! *”Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed.”* -Psalm 37:3 KJV
