GET UP, AND SERVE GOD THIS YEAR!
“And as Jesus passed forth from thence, he saw a man, named Matthew, sitting at the receipt of custom: and he saith unto him, Follow me. And he arose, and followed him.” Matthew 9:9
Whether you know it or not, your time on earth is depleting (or reducing) every passing moment! “I will serve God next year”… “I will serve God when I get a better job” …”I will serve God when I travel abroad”… “I will serve God when I get settled” e.t.c have been your words over the years, yet you have never lifted a finger to start!
Matthew could have wasted away, resuming in that particularly office, collecting taxes for the Government, thinking he was fulfilling destiny because he had a “Government Job”! Thank God for Jesus’ boldness to tell him “follow me!” I am standing in the stead of Jesus right now, telling you: do not just sit there and wonder how or when you can begin to serve God. Pick up your phone and make a call! Send a message and ask for guidance! Approach that Man or Woman that you know is serving God already! Follow …!
Some people asked Jesus “… what shall we do, that we might work the works of God?” John 6:28. He replied them; *” … This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.”* John 6:29. So, if you want to do God’s work, follow those He has sent! If you believe in and follow someone that God has sent, you will be guided to know and to do the works of God! Do not waste this year again, as you have wasted other years! If you have a place that God can use. You have skills or talents that God can use. You have money, materials, equipments that God can use. Reach out to a Servant of God that you know, and you will be properly guided to serve God. Get up and serve God now!

Gracious God, thank you for the privilege to serve you! Today, I dedicate myself, and all that I have to you, use us for your glory, in Jesus’ mighty name. Amen!
