Words, in the realms of the spirit are seen as outpourings of the abundance of the human hearts. No matter how difficult things may seem, do your best to never speak contrary to God’s plan and purpose for your life. Instead of complaining and murmuring, God prefers that you make outright requests. Petition Heaven, make demands, but, do not cancel what He is planning for your life with your own mouth. He gave the children of Israel the food they lamented that they wanted, but they still eventually died in the wilderness just as they had confessed with their mouths.
Please, pay attention to the fact that they didn’t miss the buildings and infrastructures in Egypt, what they missed was food! I remember how Esau too spoke like he would die if he didn’t eat his brother’s meal: “… Behold, I am at the point to die: and what profit shall this birthright do to me? …Then Jacob gave Esau bread and pottage of lentiles; and he did eat and drink, and rose up, and went his way: thus Esau despised his birthright.” Genesis 25:32, 34 KJV.
You won’t die of hunger, if the Lord is your Shepherd! A lot of times, the difficult situations we encounter are the shortest parts of our journeys in life. But, the odd situations present themselves like they would end our lives. Be very careful with what you say whenever things seem hard. Do not grumble at God because you missed what gives you comfort and pleasure, let your life’s purpose be your ultimate pursuit. Put blessings over pleasure, and purpose above pots.
