COMPASSION

COMPASSION

“I have compassion on the multitude, because they have now been with me three days, and have nothing to eat: and if I send them away fasting to their own houses, they will faint by the way: for divers of them came from far.” -Mark 8:2-3 KJV

Faith and prayers are great, when we desire miracles! But, compassion is also a very strong force that moves God to do the unusual for people! If help does not come to you soon enough, God knows what your situation can degenerate into. If God does not act fast on your matter, He knows your strength and fortitude can give way under unbearable pressure!

*”For the rod of the wicked shall not rest upon the lot of the righteous; lest the righteous put forth their hands unto iniquity.”* -Psalm 125:3 KJV. If divine help does not come, even the righteous might be tempted to touch sin… God knows this! The people had been with Jesus, listening to Him for three days at a stretch! Compassion made Jesus understand that they had endured hunger for about 72 hours!

He was sure they might collapse under hunger pangs on their way home, if they were sent away without food. Especially because many of them came from far!Words may not be able to describe or express your present predicament to people, but God knows! God knows how long you’ve been waiting on Him over that same matter! He knows when you chose to stay by Him, trusting only Him to help you! You may beat your chest and grandstand that you are very strong, just like Peter did; but God knows you might faint and fall along the way! So, what I am praying to God for you today my friend, is that God should have compassion on you! I am praying that He should look beyond your gesticulations, and just be gracious towards you! May God consider when you started with Him; and look at how long you have sat humbly, looking towards His face alone! May God have compassion upon you today, and always, in Jesus’ matchless name! Amen.
