WORD&POWER for TODAY
BE A PEACEMAKER, NOT A TEAMBREAKER
“Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.” Matthew 5:9 KJV
This verse is so deep, deeper than we know it to be. Read it again here; “You’re blessed when you can show people how to cooperate instead of compete or fight. That’s when you discover who you really are, and your place in God’s family.” Matthew 5:9 MSG.
No doubt, people will have issues around you. Two brothers would argue, or fight over certain matters, and you would happen to be around at the time. What would your reaction be? Will you tell them to intensify the fight, or you would persuade them to unify?
The role you play when people have issues will speak a lot about whom you really are. Don’t be a Christian who breaks relationships. The Bible says; “He who covers a transgression seeks love, But he who repeats a matter separates friends.” Proverbs 17:9 NKJV. Our GOD is a people person. Suspect anyone who takes side in any matter. Whoever recollects offences {especially when apologies have been rendered} delights in quarrels. If you can not unify two differing partners, leave them. Do not tell either side how bad the other person is. Yes, some relationships are unhealthy, and should be severed. But, use your discretion when interfering in people’s matters. Be a peacemaker.
Have you been blessed by this message? …spread the WORD, share with your friends. As it is written; “The Lord gave the word: great was the company of those that published it.” -Psalms 68:11 KJV
