A CRY FROM HELL

“Then Jonah prayed unto the Lord his God out of the fish’s belly, And said, I cried by reason of mine affliction unto the Lord, and he heard me; out of the belly of hell cried I, and thou heardest my voice.” Jonah 2:1‭-‬2 KJV

If you are reading this message, I am sure you are not in hell-at least, yet! Your experience may seem like it because of pain, anguish, confusion, and such things. But, the truth is, you’re not in hell.

Hell is a place of blackness, unending torment, immobility, perpetual irritations, and lack of God’s presence. Jonah’s experience was near that. Yet, from such depth and blackness, he thought of prayer! He didn’t resign to fate. He did not give up by saying; “He is the Lord, let Him do as He pleases;” as Pastor Eli said. Jonah prayed. By faith, He looked up to His God and called out for help-from “Hell”! And God heard him… and He answered him!

You are not too far from God, if you are reading this message. I am sure you’re on earth, and not in hell. Your life’s challenges may look like hell because of the many troubles you might be going through, but you are literally not in hell. Your case is not beyond remedy. Would you attempt prayer as Jonah did? Would you prayerfully stretch out your arms? He will pull you out, or command that hell to vomit you, as He commanded the fish to vomit Jonah! He has told us to call upon Him in the days of trouble, that He would answer us. Call out to Him today, and you are on your way out of those troubles.
