OFFERINGS WILL NOT REPLACE OBEDIENCE
_*”For I desired mercy, and not sacrifice; and the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings”*_ Hosea 6:6 KJV
GOD will never trade doing the right things with offerings, no matter how rich you are. Haven’t you seen people who are wicked and uncareing for their fellow humans, dancing in church and praising GOD for His kindness. They will rather give big in church to impress people, than to help their own flesh that is in need.
Offerings given outside GOD’s instruction looks like bribe -and GOD will never accept it! Even if you gave it to the most anointed man-of-GOD. GOD will not trade righteousness for offerings. Discipline yourself to walk in love, mercy, obedience to GOD’s definite instructions, and in the knowledge of His word.
_*”For I desire and delight in [steadfast] loyalty [faithfulness in the covenant relationship], rather than sacrifice, And in the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings.”*_ HOSEA 6:6 AMP. Don’t let anyone lie to you, it is not all offerings that attract blessings. GOD doesn’t need your money, He owns all things, including the breadth in your nostrils. He had said; _*”If I were hungry, I would not tell you; For the world is Mine, and all its fullness… But to the wicked God says: “What right have you to declare My statutes, Or take My covenant in your mouth, Seeing you hate instruction And cast My words behind you?”*_ Psalms 50:12, 16-17 NKJV. Your obedience to divine instruction is more important to GOD than that fat ram you are holding as offering. Show mercy to those who need it from you, practise what you know in the word of GOD, do not ever make the mistake of using “seeds” or offerings to buy GOD’s attention. It will not produce any result. Be wise. Remember, “obedience is better than sacrifice, and to hearken, than the fat of rams.
