              *FEAR NOT!*

_*”Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”*_ John 14:27 NKJV

Jesus acknowledged the fact that the world gives peace. They promise to calm tensions. They fight crimes, and they put those who disturb the societies in jail. They do their best {so to speak} in making sure their citizens live peacefully.

But, that is not the kind of peace that Jesus promised. The peace the world gives will only attend to your environment. It is very temporal, and it is meant for your outside, not inside. So many people commit suicide in Japan, even though it is a first world country. In Japan, they believe suicide is an “honorable way to die”. Either as a young fellow, or adult. They have almost everything they want in life, including good security. Yet, they kill themselves, when no one and nothing threatens their lives!

The peace of Jesus is most importantly inward. He tells us, even if we sense trouble around us, we should not be afraid. _*”… Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”*_ John 14:27 NKJV. Why shouldn’t we fear in the face of imminent trouble? The reason is because He is with us! We are not alone, and we shall never be alone, all our lives! _*”… for He has said, “I will never [under any circumstances] desert you [nor give you up nor leave you without support, nor will I in any degree leave you helpless], nor will I forsake or let you down or relax My hold on you [assuredly not]!” So we take comfort and are encouraged and confidently say, “The Lord is my Helper [in time of need], I will not be afraid. What will man do to me?”*_ HEBREWS 13:5‭-‬6 AMP.
