THE SECRET TO YOUR PASTOR’S ENDURANCE

“And Jacob served seven years for Rachel; and they seemed unto him but a few days, for the love he had to her.” Genesis 29:20 KJV

If you are wondering why your Pastor is ever fresh and vigorous in his services towards you, regardless of how your journeys may have been; you need to understand the force called love! Love is a very dynamic and powerful force! When you truly love someone, you want to spend the rest of your life-time with that person!

How did Jacob serve for seven years, yet they seem to him like a few days (probably not even up to a week-in his own mind)!? His fuel for service was love for Rachel! Time is tantamount to life! Whoever or whatever takes your time has your heart! I will never forget Brother Jeff. The man that followed me up till I got born-again and established in Christ! I tried everything possible to discourage him from coming for me, but He kept looking for me! I gave up, the day I decided to come home very late, only to find him seated in front of the house waiting for me! I was conquered by his love for me. Love is powerful!!

Whoever cannot love you cannot serve you spiritually; it is the most tedious and complex job ever! John 15:13 NIV “Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.” What about Apostle Paul’s wish in Romans 9:3 NIV “For I could wish that I myself were cursed and cut off from Christ for the sake of my people, those of my own race.” How do you explain Moses also, asking God to remove his name from the book of life; just so that the same people who were opposing him and grumbling about him could be spared from being judged for their sins?! Please, embrace and accept the love that your spiritual leaders are showing towards you! Their primary aim, is to spend the rest of eternity with you, in Heaven! And, to see you prosper and prevail here on earth!

PRAY:

Father, thank you for the fulfillment of your promise in Jeremiah 3:15. I accept your gift of someone to lead me, teach me your word, guide me, correct me, and to pray over me! I promise to love and care for him/her, as you help me Father; in Jesus’ name I pray. Amen!
