BE HUMBLE, BY YOURSELF.

“And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross.” -Philippians 2:8 NKJV

Jesus… yes, even Jesus, had the ability to do contrary to the will of the Father! But, He chose to submit; just like you and I need to.

If you will be a humble person, you will hardly be an opinionated person. Strong will is good if you are at the center of God’s will. But, to be strong-willed outside God’s will is stupid and unwise. And, actually it is self-destructive! Do not ask God to make you humble… Make yourself humble as Jesus had to do. Because, that is easier and less costly; than making God do it!

*”For this reason also [because He obeyed and so completely humbled Himself], God has highly exalted Him and bestowed on Him the name which is above every name,”* -Philippians 2:9 AMP. The generational and everlasting lifting of Jesus is attributed to His deliberate humility. If you desire greatness with God, you need to imbibe a meek spirit. *”But He gives more grace. Therefore He says: “God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.”* -James 4:6 NKJV.
