APOSTLE PETER’S COUNSEL FOR FRUITFULNESS
“And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; and to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; and to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.” 2 Peter 1:5-7 KJV
Little wonder, the Apostle didn’t emphasize prayerfulness here. Because he wants us to focus on those things that we can easily overlook. Namely: Excellence, Knowledge, Self-control, Patience, Holy lifestyle, Brotherly kindness, and then love.
If you are sound in doctrines, if you pray more than the praying mantis, if you can move mountains with your faith; please make sure you are also excellent in your dealings. Crave and get spiritual knowledge always, have control over your emotions, learn to wait (for God and people) before you react, live holy, care for other Christians, live a life of love! “For as these qualities are yours and are increasing [in you as you grow toward spiritual maturity], they will keep you from being useless and unproductive in regard to the true knowledge and greater understanding of our Lord Jesus Christ.” 2 Peter 1:8 AMP.
These qualities are tested and proven to work; try them out! If you think you haven’t seen much fruits in your life, business, or ministry, work on these things. Follow these counsel from Apostle Peter. That seige of barreness will be immediately broken! God wants you to be fruitful, and you will be in Jesus mighty name!
