THE FRIENDSHIP BETWEEN FAITH AND PATIENCE“That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.” -Hebrews 6:12 KJV
A young man joined a Church, and one of the attendants in that church told him; “if in three months your life doesn’t change for better, you’re free to leave this Church”. In my view, that Church is either filled with ignorant people, or their Pastor doesn’t serve the God of the Bible!
That is why Apostle Paul said you must be careful about whom you follow. He said, when you find those who through FAITH and PATIENCE inherit promises, follow them without delay! We are now in a “fast-food” generation. If it doesn’t happen now, “I will change my church.” …. “I will change my Pastor!” … Or even, outrightly “change my God!” So ridiculous. Please, take note of this; whenever God makes big promises to you, get ready for series of tests and serious examinations -don’t just look for the promises! Study Abraham: “For when God made promise to Abraham … Saying, Surely blessing I will bless thee, and multiplying I will multiply thee. AND SO, AFTER HE {Abraham} HAD PATIENTLY ENDURED, HE OBTAINED THE PROMISE.” Hebrews 6:13-15 KJV {paraphrased}. You too will receive the promises that God has made to you. But, you must wait patiently for them!
Return to your church, or ministry, if you have already left! Call your Pastor and reconcile with him. Don’t follow “Micro-wave” Pastors. What they sell are junks… unhealthy stuff!! If you are a seed of Abraham, through your faith in Jesus Christ; The God of the Bible has admonished you to follow people like Abraham… and you should not delay in following them! “Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.” James 1:3-4 KJV. You will soon obtain those promises, wait!
