WORD&POWER for TODAY
THEY ARE HOLDING SOMETHING FOR YOU
“Whatever house you enter, first say, ‘Peace [that is, a blessing of well-being and prosperity, the favor of God] to this house.’ And if anyone of peace is there [someone who is sweet-spirited and hospitable], your [blessing of] peace will rest on him; but if not, it will return to you.” Luke 10:5-6 AMP
Jesus doesn’t make empty promises. Neither does He raise people’s hopes for nothing. Whatever He says, He watches to perform!
He was sending His disciples out to preach, so He told them; “if you are accepted, or welcomed into any house… bless that house!” It is important for you to know that preachers are God’s representatives on earth. They are here to do what Jesus would do if He were here physically {and the truth is, He is here through His Servants, working through them by the Holy Spirit}.
Beside the message of repentance that the preacher might have brought, he has also come with blessings for those who would treat him well. Educational background and social status have nothing to do with this. If that preacher is genuinely sent by God, he has something to offer you! What you get from him depends largely on how you treat him! Treat God’s Messengers well, and it will be well with you. You will be prosperous, and you will enjoy the favor of God!
