WORD&POWER for TODAY
WALK BY FAITH THIS YEAR, DON'T DOUBT
“But when he saw that the wind was boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink he cried out, saying, “Lord, save me!”” Matthew 14:30 NKJV
First of all, permit me to correct an erroneous teaching I once heard that Peter was able to walk on the water because of the word “come” that Jesus spoke. If that were true, then it would mean that the word of Jesus failed to work at the very point where Peter started sinking. It would mean that Peter was being sustained by that word, independent of his faith. So, the fear and gaze of Peter on the storm shouldn’t have made him sink. He should have been “carried” by that word of Jesus {that we all know can never fail!}.
Peter requested, if it was Jesus that was truly walking on the water and talking to them, He should ask him to come. Because they were mistaking Jesus for a ghost!! He wanted to be sure he wasn’t walking towards an unknown spirit. Understand that they just came out of a panic attack! He didn’t need a word to “carry” him; He actually wanted to do what his Master was doing. He too wanted to walk in the miraculous like his Master! … And he did! It was his faith that sustained him. You have to understand that faith is the key to access the supernatural in this Kingdom. Anyone, I say again, any one who exhibits faith towards the power of God will unlock the supernatural. He started sinking when he stopped walking by faith.. he doubted before he began to sink: “And immediately Jesus stretched out His hand and caught him, and said to him, “O YOU OF LITTLE FAITH, WHY DID YOU DOUBT?”” Matthew 14:31 NKJV. That is an Almighty Question I do not want God to ask me: “WHY DID YOU DOUBT?!”
You too, my dear brother or sister, should not doubt the power of God this year. Do not finish in the flesh what you started in the spirit. The storm will rage in 2021. Brothers will betray one another. The love of many will wax cold, because iniquity shall increase. But, please, make sure your faith does not fail this year. Like Peter, we are all walking towards Jesus. “… And when Peter had come down out of the boat, he walked on the water to go to Jesus.” Matthew 14:29 NKJV. Our walk in this turbulent world is a walk of faith to meet Jesus. He’s coming towards us to pick us to Heaven, and we are also walking (by faith) towards Him to meet Him. Please, do not sink inbetween. Do not doubt because of evil and sink on the way! Continue your walk by faith towards Jesus! Let Him embrace you with a glorious smile as you walk on the water of this world, by faith-do not doubt!
