PRIDE AND SHAME ARE FRIENDS“When pride comes, then comes shame; But with the humble is wisdom.” Proverbs 11:2 NKJV
Humble people also have the capacity to be arrogant, but they have told themselves not to be foolish. Shame walks with pride, because whoever operates in the spirit of pride will walk in the lowest parts of the earth.
GOD intentionally resists the proud, He pushes them down because He cannot work with them. I once said that GOD removes the proud from the position of honor, because they are in the wrong place. And He lifts the humble out of shame, and puts them in position of honor, because humility and honor are allies. Have you observed that even arrogant people cannot work easily with anyone that is arrogant like them. They will always clash, so they would rather choose someone that is humble.
“Pride goes before destruction, And a haughty spirit before a fall. Better to be of a humble spirit with the lowly, Than to divide the spoil with the proud.” Proverbs 16:18-19 NKJV. Pride is the horse, while destruction is the chariot that follows it. Humility may seem low, but it is a ladder people climb into greatness. Pride and humility can only be discovered through examination, and self-examination. So, evaluate yourself, so that you won’t be put to shame. Pride is the ladder people climb down from greatness, while humility is the ladder people climb up into greatness. Make the right choice today!
