PROSPERITY IS A PRODUCT OF OBEDIENCE
“And he sought God in the days of Zechariah, who had understanding in the visions of God: and as long as he sought the Lord, God made him to prosper.” 2 Chronicles 26:5 KJV
When I was not so spiritually wise, I thought I would prosper because I prayed long hours and lived holy life. When poverty dealt harshly with me, I discovered there were certain principles that I was missing in my walk with GOD. Success, or Prosperity as you may want to call it, in the Kingdom of GOD is strictly a product of complying with specific Kingdom principles.
As young as king Uzzaiah was, though a Teenager when he began to rule, he learnt early in his life to submit himself to spiritual guidance and mentorship. To seek GOD in the Old Testament is to ask direction before taking any step, and to do whatever the law or the Prophets commanded. King Uzzaiah was not guess-walking, as many do today. Many just fumble through life, hoping to succeed one day. He had a Teacher, a man who had understanding in the visions of GOD, in the person of Zechariah. And he doing whatever Zechariah guided him to do, the Bible says “GOD MADE HIM TO PROSPER“. Satan has deceived so many Christians today, that prosperity is sinful. Because he has made them think that prosperity is another word for Mammon. And that, is a blatant lie! Prosperity is you succeeding in whatever you touch or do in life! And that doesnt happen by accident, it is a blessing for every submissive Believer in GOD.
“Blessed [fortunate, prosperous, and favored by God] is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked [following their advice and example], Nor stand in the path of sinners, Nor sit [down to rest] in the seat of scoffers (ridiculers). But his delight is in the law of the Lord, And on His law [His precepts and teachings] he [habitually] meditates day and night. And he will be like a tree firmly planted [and fed] by streams of water, Which yields its fruit in its season; Its leaf does not wither; And in whatever he does, he prospers [and comes to maturity].” Psalms 1:1-3 AMP. Brother James also said; “But he who looks carefully into the perfect law, the law of liberty, and faithfully abides by it, not having become a [careless] listener who forgets but an active doer [who obeys], he will be blessed and favored by God in what he does [in his life of obedience].” James 1:25 AMP. So, it is what you do with what you hear {either directly from GOD, or from His Messengers} that will determine the result you will get in life! Let’s get spiritually smarter! Prosperity is our heritage, not failure!
