IF YOUR BROTHERS DON'T BELIEVE IN YOU

“His brothers therefore said to Him, “Depart from here and go into Judea, that Your disciples also may see the works that You are doing. For no one does anything in secret while he himself seeks to be known openly. If You do these things, show Yourself to the world.” FOR EVEN HIS BROTHERS DID NOT BELIEVE IN HIM.” John 7:3‭-‬5 NKJV

Wisdom taught me to never judge a Man of GOD by how many followers he has, either in his congregation or on any social media. Sometimes, people even try to evaluate a Man of GOD by how many of his family members believe in his ministry. These are very wrong yardsticks, to measure the authenticity of any Man of GOD.

Whom you serve determines what follows you! Jesus said; “If the world hates you, you know that it hated Me before it hated you. If you were of the world, the world would love its own. Yet because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you. Remember the word that I said to you, ‘A servant is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted Me, they will also persecute you. If they kept My word, they will keep yours also.” John 15:18‭-‬20 NKJV. Abel was a righteous man, yet Cain his brother killed him. The brothers of Joseph almost did the same. Here, the brothers of Jesus wanted him killed too, telling him to go to Judea where his enemies were gathered.

Don’t blame your brethren if they do not believe in you, no one relates with what they do not know or understand. Mary got miracle wine from Jesus at a wedding because she believed in Him; even though she gave birth to Him. Yet, his brothers (from the same womb), didn’t believe in Him-at that time. They were protecting their family name, because Jesus seemed to be bringing “shame” to them. Even at Judea, those who believed in Him couldn’t speak of Him publicly because they feared the rulers. People always protect their personal interests. You, the Chosen, is the one that must remain strong and focused! Keep your gaze on the One who chose you, and please Him. Along the line, your brothers will join you when light shines in their hearts.
