DON'T "UNDER-DRESS" AS A SOLDIER
“Put on the full armor of God [for His precepts are like the splendid armor of a heavily-armed soldier], so that you may be able to [successfully] stand up against all the schemes and the strategies and the deceits of the devil.” Ephesians 6:11 AMP
The weapons of our warfare in Christianity are not physical weapons. Some people wave their Bible at the devil when praying [portraying that they are cutting him with their sword]. That is what I call; high level of spiritual ignorance.
Our weapons are basic spiritual precepts. Such as faith (shield), speaking the truth (belt), study the word of GOD (sword of the Spirit), preaching the gospel to others (shoes), being saved (and being proud of being saved) (helmet), living a righteous life (breastplate). And to pray all manner of prayer in the Spirit (vigilance). To skip anyone of these is to “under-dress” to the battle field. Imagine a soldier without belt, folding up his trousers around his waist. Won’t his trousers fall while fighting? That is a Christian who doesn’t speak the truth. He might die in the battle field.
Put on your full armor daily, by doing the basic precepts required of a Christian. The devil might not stop you from praying, but he can talk to into disregarding simple spiritual instructions. Because, he knows when Christians are operating in disobedience, he can have access to hurt them. You cannot stand against satanic attacks when you’re spiritually wrong. “The weapons of our warfare are not physical [weapons of flesh and blood]. Our weapons are divinely powerful for the destruction of fortresses. We are destroying sophisticated arguments and every exalted and proud thing that sets itself up against the [true] knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought and purpose captive to the obedience of Christ, being ready to punish every act of disobedience, when your own obedience [as a church] is complete.” 2 Corinthians 10:4-6 AMP. Check if one weapon is missing in your armory. Don’t “under-dress” to the battle field.
