*WHERE IS YOUR BANK …?*
_*“Do not store up for yourselves [material] treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal.”*_ Matthew 6:19 AMP
Just think of the fact that we all make deposits. We save up treasures in our banks. In the realms of the spirit, good works are the treasures that we deposit in our banks, not necessarily money. And our banks are situated in two realms -Earth and Heaven!
Take a keen look at the system of operations in the two realms. If you do good works to be praised by men, you’re banking on Earth, and your profit is instant… Because men will immediately reward you. But, if you’re doing your good works to please GOD, rather than to impress men, you’re banking with Heaven. The treasuries on Earth can be broken into, or destroyed by pests. If you do your works to be praised by men, another man can speak ill of your achievements, and make light of your good deeds. There and then, you lose your rewards. But, if your good deeds are done secretly; majorly to please GOD. No thief or pest can break into your account (in Heaven).
In a nut shell, GOD wants you to serve those who cannot reward you. He wants you to give to the needy, without demanding their praises. GOD wants you to contribute to His mission works on Earth. Don’t build an account on Earth, by spending your resources to impress people. Build your account in Heaven! Don’t be like the proverbial foolish rich man, who laboured to be rich on Earth, but he was poor towards GOD. _*”But God said to him, ‘You fool! This very night your soul is required of you; and now who will own all the things you have prepared?’ So it is for the one who continues to store up and hoard possessions for himself, and is not rich [in his relationship] toward God.”*_ Luke 12:20-21 AMP. Make up your mind today, not to ever waste your precious treasures on Earth. Stop laying up treasures to feed the thieves and the pests. Start storing your treasures with GOD in Heaven. The place where thieves cannot break into, neither can pests enter there. Be spiritually smart!
