DON'T GIVE UP NOW.“Therefore do not cast away your confidence, which has great reward. For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise.” Hebrews 10:35-36 NKJV
The Christian walk is not “a-walk-in-the-park”. Being born again won’t stop life’s battles, if anything, it provokes it.
Confidence is only necessary in the face of oppositions. And you do not “endure” pleasure. If you hear GOD telling you to be courageous and to be confident, He’s simply preparing your mind for battles. If He tells you to endure, He knows you’re going through situations that are not palatable. My friend, no matter what you’re going through now as a Christian, please, don’t give up! Pressure is one of the enemy’s ways of making Christians deny their faith in Jesus Christ. Remember the testing of Job. The debate was whether Job would backslide or not, considering the huge losses he would suffer. Job said; “Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him: but I will maintain mine own ways before him. He also shall be my salvation: for an hypocrite shall not come before him.” Job 13:15-16 KJV. That is the spirit of faith! That is a true Believer! Even if GOD is killing me, I will still trust Him and maintain my ways before Him.
You may have lost your spouse, or a lucrative job. Or those you have served faithfully suddenly turned against you. Or lies are flying around concerning you. Or you’re being rejected, or persecuted because you stood for truth, and for Jesus Christ. Be strong my friend. There is a reward for you if you finish well. Don’t let the enemy dictate your end, be determined to finish well. “For yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry. Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him. But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul.” Hebrews 10:37-39 KJV. So, press forward, don’t give up!
