MEN BEGAN TO CALL UPON GOD
“And to Seth, to him also there was born a son; and he called his name Enos: then began men to call upon the name of the LORD.” Genesis 4:26 KJV
According to the scriptures, Adam (the very first Man) talked with God, Abel (Adam’s son) also worshipped God with his offering! Cain, Abel’s elder brother also talked with God directly. But, until the days of Enos, no one called upon God in the form of dedicated prayers!
There is always a beginning to every thing! Even the Apostles of Jesus Christ just followed Him everywhere. Listening to Him, and participating in His ministry. They never prayed to God for anything until Jesus encouraged them to do so: “Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.” John 16:24 KJV. You don’t have to be a Preacher to pray to God! And, you don’t have to wait until you are sinless before you pray to God! Acts 2:21 KJV says; “and it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.” Acts 2:21 KJV.
You too can begin to pray to God, right now! Right from where you are seated, or standing!! Don’t wait until you enter a Church. You can begin to call upon God now! Pray for the salvation of your soul. Pray for the forgiveness of your sins. Call upon God for your healing. Pray for your promotion at work. Pray for the expansion of your business! Call upon God for the salvation of the souls of your loved ones! Pray for your deliverance from demonic powers! As Jesus said in the verse above, I encourage you to ask the Father! And, you will receive answers to your prayer… so that your joy can be full!!
