MEN PLEASERS CANNOT BE SERVANTS OF GOD
“Am I now trying to win the favor and approval of men, or of God? Or am I seeking to please someone? If I were still trying to be popular with men, I would not be a bond-servant of Christ.” GALATIANS 1:10 AMP
When we were in school, we were taught in Economics that the human wants are unlimited. So, if they won’t stop looking for something, why should I act like I am Jehovah Jireh? No matter how much you try to make yourself acceptable to men, they will still have other demands they would place on you, most of which will be beyond your capacity.
Yes, we serve men, but we must take instructions from GOD. Compromising your stand for Christ in order to satisfy the desires of men can kill you. Apostle Paul asked; “am I now trying to please someone?” Because, once you choose to please people, you will drop the truth. When they’re wrong, you’d be afraid to tell them. If everyone, I mean every one, accepts you, check your faith!
To be a servant of Christ, you must be ready to be misunderstood, blasphemed, castigated, back-bitten, slandered and rejected. “Remember [and continue to remember] that I told you, ‘A servant is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted Me, they will also persecute you. If they kept My word, they will keep yours also.” JOHN 15:20 AMP. Jesus told His disciples. Living for Christ will threaten your relationship with people. Take your stand today! If you live for Christ, you shouldn’t be men’s entertainer.
